The Belly-to-Baby Balm
The Belly-to-Baby Balm is a moisturizing and wound-healing “everything” salve specifically formulated using 7 traditional herbs used by midwives for postpartum healing. For belly elasticity, perineum massage pre and or post birth, scar tissue massage post c-section, nipple soreness through breastfeeding, a lubricant for pumping, and for rashes on little ones, The Belly-to-Baby Balm is potent enough for significant wound healing and gentle enough for littles. It is safe for breastfeeding and can be used anywhere that feels like it needs healing- you can think of this salve as an everything balm for the perinatal time period!
Ingredients: organic fractionated coconut oil, organic arnica oil, organic evening primrose oil, organic raw shea butter, lavender, rose, damiana, raspberry leaf, calendula, witch hazel leaf, uva ursi
Coconut Oil: moisturizing, alkalizing, pH balancing, antibacterial, antifungal
the alkalizing properties help balance pH of skin which helps to prevent infections, the medium chain fatty acids (specifically lauric acid) have antibacterial and antifungal properties- also very good for preventing infections and combating external stresses in our skin and our external organs.
Arnica Oil: anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, wound-healing
has been empirically demonstrated to alleviate pain associated with sprains and other muscle aches and injury, helps ease postpartum inflammation, contains many fatty acids including thymol which has been shown to contain antibacterial qualities.
Evening Primrose Oil: anti-inflammatory, hormone balancing, skin nourishing
